New Construction and Land Certification
Spark Realty has the exclusive Utah relationship with the Ashlar Institute, a private real estate think tank offering the highest level education, training, coaching and mentoring to the real estate and other industries. Ashlar certifications are proprietary, up-do-date, and designed to offer functional tools and perspective. All Ashlar courses focus on exceptional proficiency, service, and the relentless commitment to improve.
The Institute currently offers two specialty certifications in Utah: Land and New Construction - requirements are outlined below. Most Utah courses are approved for Contintuing Education credits.
The New Construction Certifications (CNCP, CNCS, and CNCA) are designed to offer the most extensive training available. 72 one-hour classes including: Land Development Basics, Entitlements and Subdivisions, Civil Engineering and Studies, Constructions Basics, Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting and Controls, Fixtures and Mechanicals, Surfaces, Landscaping, Appliances, Home Systems, and New Home Transactions. Every course is created with input from top industrty experts, attoneys, developers, and contractors.The cost varies, but most are sponsored or subsidized by builders and allied professionals. The Land Certification was created by Graig Griffin, SIOR as a comprehensive guide to sell all types of land. Graig has personally completed over $1 billion in land transactions and managed/brokered/advised on over $11 billion around the U.S. for clients ranging from the U.S. Government, Utah and Nevada, mulitple counties, cities, and towns, Fortune 500 companies, the petroleum industry, multiple home builders/developers, on down to local businesses and lots. These classes and certifications are designed for agents and brokers who are serious about learning the material. They are advanced, lively, and many have top guest educators from that part of the industry. All Ashlar Institute courses are private and invitation only.
