New Construction and Land Certification
Spark Realty has been certified by the Pathfinder Institute, a private real estate think tank offering education, training, coaching and mentoring to the real estate and other industries. Pathfinder certifications are custom tailored to individual agents, leadership, and markets so that the expertise is fully relevant. Its focus is on exceptional proficiency, service, and the relentless commitment to improve. Office Certification requires at least 80% of management to be Leadership Certified, deep expertise in specialties, a compensation structure for agents that encourages investment, and a thoughtful balance between techology and interpersonal skills. Real estate specialty certifications are branded to the brokerage to help promote the commitment to excellence.
Spark currently offers two specialty certifications: Land and New Construction - requirements are outlined below.
The New Construction Certification was designed specifically for Utah agents and real estate. There are 12 classes: Land Development Basics, Entitlements and Subdivisions, Civil Engineering and Studies, Constructions Basics, Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting and Controls, Fixtures and Mechanicals, Surfaces, Landscaping, Appliances, and New Home Transactions. Each class is 1-3 hours and all are Utah CE Approved. The cost varies, but most are sponsored or subsidized by builders and allied professionals.
The Land Certification was created by Graig Griffin, SIOR as a comprehensive guide to sell all types of land. Graig has personally completed over $1billion in land transactions and managed/brokered/advised on over $11billion around the U.S. for clients ranging from the U.S. Government, Utah and Nevada, mulitple counties, cities, and towns, Fortune 500 companies, the petroleum industry, multiple home builders/developers, on down to local businesses and lots. Certification requires the completion of Advanced Land Brokerage, Land Due Diligence, and from the New Construction curriculum: Land Development Basics, Entitlements and Subdivisions, and Civil Engineering and Studies.
These classes and certifications are designed for agents and brokers who are serious about learning the material. They are advanced, lively, and many have top guest educators from that part of the industry. All Pathfinder courses are private and invitation only.
